“The air is like a butterfly with frail blue wings. The happy earth looks at the sky and sings.”
– Joyce Kilmer, Spring
Spring is in the breeze that blows across the still “wintry” landscape. We desire the warmth as the season turns, but are in no hurry to rush the days along. This is a time to enjoy daily extremes as Nature swings wide as a pendulum with temperature and light.
As you hike today, pause to take a look around and allow a brightened consciousness to grow within. Nature is reminding you of your place in a humanity, which has begun to realize that to achieve a higher quality of life, one must transcend material values and encompass a greater degree self-realization than ever before.
To aid in this brightening consciousness, Ilchi Lee describes his concept of what he calls the "MindScreen" imagined as a spatial representation of an awakened consciousness. This holographic, infinite, internal space is where all mental activity takes place. Furthermore, with intent, we can develop and use this function of our brain and this space of infinite creation to shape our world.
Pick a beautiful, sheltered spot and relax, preparing to meditate and practice visualizing the MindScreen for yourself. Take a deep breath. Allow awareness of the reflected sun’s rays to be a part of your meditation. Imagine the LifeParticles as golden and brilliant particles of light surrounding you as they enter the crown of your head and flow through your entire body.
Focus on each area of your body as the beautiful light fills your body and dissolves any dark, stagnant energy. Bathe in this light and clear your mind.
Now, using your MindScreen, form an impression—an image—of your ideal self, the person you wish to become.
Truly “feel” the feelings that seeing yourself in this new light brings up within you. Enjoy the self-confidence and satisfaction these feelings create. Relax into it; you are watching your future “self” begin to grow.
Take three deep breaths, and slowly open your eyes. Rub your palms together to create energy and warmth, and gently smooth your palms over your eyes, face, and neck. Keep the feeling within, and return to your MindScreen meditation often to draw from this wellspring of change.
Turn on your MindScreen in this way whenever you wish to create something. If there is something you want—health, happiness, improved relationships, changed habits, material abundance, achievement, or whatever—display it on your MindScreen, and then imagine it being achieved successfully.
Nature easily opens the door for us to step through into imagined worlds of infinite possibility. Enjoy!
