The Tao or the great life force, in essence, is the world of energy. As revealed by modern quantum mechanics, everything in the world is made up of energy, and everything is the action of energy.
This energy has been called Ki, Chi and Prana and is like a tightly woven mesh interconnecting all things. This world of energy, let’s call it Ki operates through principles. Seeing the Tao, therefore means knowing the principles by which Ki energy operates and moreover, being able to feel Ki energy and use it in your daily life!
So how do we learn Ki? All we have to do is feel it.
We all have a sense for feeling Ki energy. All we have to do is awaken that sense. If you want to know the Tao then start by feeling Ki, the energy of life. When the sense of energy in your body grows and develops, you can feel even the energy of other people, and you will be able to watch and continue to improve the energy of your own thoughts and actions, and your relationships with others.
Here is an easy and simple exercise through which you can feel Ki energy. Practice indoors or out in nature. Communion with nature is enhanced when energy is turned on and heightened. You may also wish to record this with your phone or other device and play it back to yourself.
Did you feel the Ki in your hand? Do your body and mind now feel more relaxed and more comfortable than before? Your perception of Ki is evidence that your body and mind have relaxed, which allowed your brain waves to slow down. You don't need to be disappointed, though, if you couldn't feel Ki at this time. Some people develop their ability to feel Ki easily and others take time. You will clearly be able to feel Ki energy if you focus on this training after relaxing your body and mind letting go of the thoughts in your head through stretching and gentle exercise.
